Miss Abenla Aier

Miss Abenla AierM.Div Final Year Class of 2024 “Agape has made me stand on a firm ground!” It is a great joy and honor to be a part of Agape College. I have so many experiences in my theological journey in this College spanning over five years.  The first thing I would like to share through my experience is the opportunity that was made available to me. As a student, I got ample opportunities from the college to develop my talent, skills and abilities.  The second reminiscence that I would like to share is the environment of the institution. In this seat of learning, the students have been drawn in from diverse backgrounds such as different states and tribes. However, there is a unity amongst the various communities who happily stay as one single family. Agape College has made me stand on a firm ground! As I look back to my alma mater, those five years of academic life and spiritual formation have put me with a firm biblical and theological foundation to serve the Lord wherever He wants me to be!

I applied to study in Agape College and by the grace of God I was accepted to study in a pioneering bible college in Nagaland. I am extremely indebted to Rev. Dr. S. Temjen Imchen the Principal, and Mr. Anato Awomi the Academic Dean and the faculties and non teaching staff for helping me in my studies here and for providing me the things I need to accomplish my study. I’m so grateful to acknowledge their priceless encouragement and generous care during my hard moments to push and motivate me. In this college, I’ve learned more about what it really means to serve Jesus and His church. The Agape library provides available resources and materials that help the students to further their learning, understanding and research. Library provides a safe space for students to study and it also provides us with free Wi-Fi facilities. Also, the College offers many events to equip me. This college always gives me positive vibes and makes me more confident with each passing day. Mr. Athendro A. Marak

Mr. Athendro A. Marak M.Div-II (2022-2024). (Sildubi Baptist Church, Krima VIII) Future plans: Pastor “At Agape College, I have greatly improved my knowledge for future God’s ministry.” I am grateful to our living God for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to study in Agape College. I can strongly say that our college teaching standard is exceptionally good as they focus on each and every corner of the topic. Our College faculty not only focuses on the curriculum but also enhances our innate wisdom. The classes held here are not boring but very interactive. The teaching pattern and goal are to start with course syllabus and then cover the integrated part so efficiently. The courses are very good. Even the capacity of students’ community is very good, compact and purposeful! Every single day, our teachers impress on us, mould us to be better God’s ministers. In my two years of study here, I had learnt many things and have greatly improved my knowledge for future God’s ministry. I like the faculties and I feel I had the best environment for my studies. Of all the knowledge that I gained, I admire their friendly nature, accessibility and interactive skills through which we could clarify our doubts. I will treasure those golden moments.  I am really happy that I came to Agape for my studies. The saying that goes “The best teachers teach from heart not from the book” is best suited for the faculty and teaching pattern are here. It is true that EXPERIENCE is one of life’s best teachers. But if you don’t study you will probably never get any EXPERIENCE in the first place. May God bless Agape College!

Mr Ram Thawng Hnin

Mr Ram Thawng Hnin B.Th-II, 2023-24 Future plans: Church Ministry It is my joy and privilege to share some of my experiences I had in Agape College. My name is Ram Thawng Hnin, I am doing my B.Th-II in 2023-24. I have some pleasant experiences in my two years of residential study in this college. Here are some of them: My first pleasant experience here is to do with my learning of English speaking skills. Before I joined this college, I couldn’t even introduce myself to others. But now, with the help from my seniors and all of my friends, I have improved and hope to do better in this regard. My second experience relates to the community living. Besides my classroom learning, there are extra co-curricular activities to get involved with as a residential student.  Regularly, we carry out community social work, play volleyball, shuttles, table tennis, etc. We even go outside for Inter-Bible Colleges’ sports meet every year! Through these activities, we stay focused and thereby help in our spiritual well being.        Another forward looking area up to my second year is in the area of daily chapel worship, which is vibrant and encouraging! Whether it is during chapel services, small group gatherings, or spontaneous worship sessions, there has always been an atmosphere of reverence and joy. Worshiping alongside our fellow students and believers helps me connect with God in a deeper way and provided a space for spiritual renewal and encouragement. The music, prayers, and shared experiences during these times of worship left a lasting impact on my faith journey. With God’s help, I hope to do better and look forward to my eventual completion of my bachelor’s study program!

Mr. Nchalungbe Pame M. Div Final, Class of 2024 Impa-Nkang Baptist Church “Institution is a place where we explore new knowledge in day to day life and everyday is a new learning day.” I can gladly say that Agape College has the potential to transform one life perfect. In my College years here, the environment has been peaceful and enjoyed freedom that has helped me to learn more about myself than I ever thought. The best thing about college is that there are different activities or interactions organized by the college authority. The other sub-committees in college regularly conducted various events to develop confidence while gaining knowledge and spiritual life for students. The practical ministry is very well-organized and performed which are so essential for a Bible student.        College staffs are supportive always and ever ready to help the students that made me strong, independent and stand on my own feet! As long as I’m in my college, I feel safe and has an harmonious atmosphere for me. Professors impart us with the best updated knowledge of today’s world. Furthermore, I am gladly testifying that teachers are approachable wherein we were considered as their friends. Community living and personality development here in Agape has helped me become a better person. I will gladly serve the Lord!

Rev. Dr.Aowabang Ozüküm Pastor Ao Baptist Church Guwahati B.Th, Class of 1994 “Being a part of the very first batch in an educational institution is always a very rare opportunity but it always leaves you with a bunch of mixed feelings.” Hello everyone my name is Aowabang Ozukum and presently working as Pastor in Ao Baptist Church Guwahati since 2006. 33 years ago, in the month of June 1991, when I first stepped into Agape College to study theology, I had no idea where it would lead, but looking back of the years that I spent in Agape College, there are so many memories that come as my flashback and this college has given me unforgettable impressions.        My stay in Agape College was very brief but with a rich experience. And now, when I reminisce about my three years of college life in Agape College was nothing less than a roller coaster ride, full of ups and downs one can imagine, because being a part of the very first batch in an educational institution is always a very rare opportunity but it always leaves you with a bunch of mixed feelings. Sometimes you’ll feel so proud and sometimes you’ll not at all like it, becausethe first batch is always the one which is experimented with!        But experiences was new way of learning, and I resonate completely with this adage“We don’t grow when things are easy, we grow when we face challenges.” Yes, those years were challenging, yet they escalated me on the learning curve and led to my personal development.        It has provided me with some great opportunities which helped me improve myself in every aspect as a student.        The education and experience during the college days has moulded me to shape my career and helped me discover the professionalism within me. I am very thankful and proud to have such a motivating, supporting, and enthusiastic Principal and all teaching staff that have taught me to carry myself through any up hills and challenges of life. Time which I had spent in Agape have become the most treasured days of my life.        I have seen this institution growing and grooming every single day because of highly ambitious and committed faculty. It is their courage, hard work and patience which have helped in producing committed students who have done well in their respective ministries today.        I recall ample of good memories and experiences I had in Agape College. It was a great journey for me and I am wishing the same to our new family members. God bless Agape College ministry.
